LID STRIKE

The Top Load Washer Lid Strike attaches to the appliance’s lid and helps communicate to the appliance that the door is closed and operation can begin. If your washer’s lid doesn’t close properly, or if the mounting tabs of the current piece are visibly broken, you can quickly and easily replace the faulty strike with this part. This strike is white in color and is specifically designed to be used with white appliances. Installing the latch will require basic hand tools, but no disassembly or prior repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off your hot and cold water supplies. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine’s drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
